CNC machining solutions for a variety of metals, graphite, and engineered plastics happen at Precision Electronic Glass. For this reason, among many others, we’re considered favored experts in glass fabrication and customization. That is because we employ state-of-the-art technologies, always emphasizing the highest level of quality in all of our products.
Special Materials are a Breeze for Our CNC Machining
On another custom note, PEG specializes in machining Kovar components used in creating glass to metal seals. Similarly, the typical materials we work in addition to Kovar include stainless steel, graphite, and plastic.
Introducing PEG’s CNC Machining Services
In keeping with our expansive expertise in custom glass fabrication, our machining services include milling, drilling, boring, and turning. In addition, we do threading, tapping, thread milling, knurling, broaching, pocketing, reaming, and cutting.
Furthermore, our team of seasoned machinists operates HAAS ST10Y and TL-2 turning centers integrated with full CNC control of two-to-four axis. Subsequently, these systems utilize production-enhancing features such as bar feeding and live tooling. For this reason, we provide all fixturing in-house. Additionally, we work with parts up to 48 inches in length and handle diameters between 0.040 inches and 16 inches.
Our Experience and Equipment Adds Strong Capabilities
Because of our experienced team and superior equipment, we offer more than 20 unique capabilities. For example, we do boring, broaching, counterboring, countersinking, drilling, and facing. Moreover, our capabilities include internal forming, knurling, milling, parting/cutting, pocketing, and profiling. Finally, we handle reaming, spline, threading (internal and external), and turning (contour turning, form turning, taper turning, and straight turning).
A Variety of Materials for CNC Machining
Finally, we work with dozens of CNC compatible materials. For example, we work with acetal, acrylic, ABS, alloy steels, aluminum, beryllium, brass, bronze alloys, carbide, carbon steel, and ceramic.
We also work with cobalt, composite materials, copper. fiberglass, glass, graphite, Inconel, invar, iridium, iron, Kovar, molybdenum, Monel, and nickel.
In addition, we handle niobium, nylon, PTFE, palladium, phenolic, platinum, polyamide-Imide, polycarbonate, polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polyetherimide, polyethylene, and polyphenylene sulfide.
Finally, we also work with polypropylene, polystyrene, polysulphone, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), quartz, reinforced plastics, stainless steel, superalloys, tin, titanium, tungsten, and zinc.
