At Precision Electronic Glass, we’re seeking a 2nd Class Machinist to join our Engineering team. In this role, you won’t be running production parts — instead, you’ll fabricate precision tooling, fixtures, and components that support and improve production operations. Working with both manual and CNC equipment, you’ll set up, operate, and maintain a wide range of machines while collaborating closely with engineers and senior machinists to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency across our processes.
Summary/ Objective
The 2nd Class Machinist fabricates and modifies parts or components per print by setting up, operating and maintaining a variety of manual and automated machine equipment and tools to produce parts and instruments of moderate difficulty. The 2nd Class Machinist reads and interprets prints and drawings to determine the precise specifications, dimensions, and tolerances of the finished product. The 2nd Class Machinist utilizes precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy and quality of machined parts.
This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering.
