Glass and Quartz Fabrication Experts

Glass and quartz fabrication is a leading area of expertise for Precision Electronic Glass (PEG). As a result, PEG is well-positioned in the fabrication of custom high quality, precision glass, and quartz components.

PEG custom manufactured components meet exacting specifications and the highest standards of quality. Similarly, our capabilities include glass-to-metal seals, graded seals, custom design & fabrication, round bottoming, laser engraving,  glass-to-glass forming, shaping, and more.

Typical Glass and Quartz Fabrication Components

PEG produces Fluid Handling Devices, Hollow Cathode Lamp Bodies, X-Ray Components, Ultra-High Vacuum Viewports, ICP Consumables (Torches/Injectors), ICP-MS, OES Consumables, LED, Laser Components, Aviation Injectors, Ampules/Ampoules, Plugs, Crystal Growth Vessels/Crucibles, and more.

As a result of 55 years in the industry, PEG has unmatched skills. Our experience provides the most precise glass and quartz fabrication available in the industry. We have the edge you need to perform sophisticated operations thanks to our seasoned in-house engineering team, automated equipment, and skilled workforce. Let us help you turn your designs into custom fabricated products.

Some examples of our work include glass-to-metal seals, glass grades, laser and x-ray components, and custom analytical cell components. Other components our clients rely on us to deliver include glass flanges, glass-to-metal seals, pin seals for electronics and x-ray equipment.

PEG also makes heat detection sensor components and a wide variety of ICP components. Plus we manufacture laser tubes, spray chambers, and x-ray bulbs.

Types of Operations

From an operations standpoint, the Precision Electonic Glass team of highly skilled employees work with automated lathing, flat bottoming, and glass tube flaring. We do a variety of seals including glass-to-ceramic, glass-to-glass, glass-to-metal, and glass-to-sapphire. Other seals include quartz, ring, graded, and Pyrex®-to-Kovar graded, and Pyrex®-to-quartz graded. In addition, our team does lampwork and lathe forming (tubing conversion: resizing/ flat & round bottoming).

Through the seasoned, artistic capabilities of our team, we engineer and automate sophisticated, hi-tech processes that allow us to complete even the most intricate custom work on large production runs.

Types of Glass

Finally, we work with the many different glass types including quartz, Pyrex glass, soda-lime glass, 8330 borosilicate glass, 8245, and 8447. Further, we work with HLQ 200, 8448, HLQ 210, 8250, 8487, and 8449. Moreover, we work with HLQ 100, Cerium doped quartz, HLQ 270, Simax, and HLQ 300 Quartz.
